Yesterday we had the quarter finals of Streamer Showdown were played. Four epic matchups were played out to determine the final four contenders of the tournament.
Mehmet “Karabacak” Karabacak managed to win his quarter final versus fellow Dane Oliver “Høegh” Høegh.
– It feels really good to reach the semifinals and be the one to represent Denmark. I was definitely not expecting a win as I had to face a potential favorite to win the tournament, Karaback says.
Karabacak won the series with a total score of 6-2 despite still not being completely comfortable with the 90-rated mode.
– Of course, it was a bit challenging to start with, I will not hide it. First match ended 1-0 for me. Second match ended 5-2 for me. I won 6-2 overall. I felt more and more comfortable during the game.
In the semifinals, Karabacak will be facing off against the Finnish player Aleksi “AlluTuplaPisteD” Airamaa.
– To be honest, I do not know him. He must be able to play well since he has reached the semifinals. However, I think I’m going to win, Karaback says.
Do you have anything to say to your supporters?
– Once again, my viewers show how much they mean to me. They have really supported and written in the chat. It makes me so happy to have such a supportive community. It brings out the smile in me. A huge pleasure!
